Chapin, popularly known as the “Capital of Lake Murray”, is a small, affluent lake town located at the northern tip of Lexington County. The area is appropriately referred to by local real estate appraisers as “The Golden Triangle” due to it’s well known affiliation with the best public schools, some of the lowest crime statistics in the state, and home to more lake accessible housing options than any of the surrounding Lake Murray areas. The lake today is one of Chapin’s grandest assets, the lure that attracts people from all parts of the country, who are looking for a great place to live and raise a family. Some of the best times you will experience in this region take place on the water of Lake Murray.
